Bright Ideas

Here are some of my ideas that are still on the drawing board.  No promises to post more details about any of the ideas here.  If you need to know more, leave a comment.  I will get it!

Starlight platter, frame, hanging heart, etc.
Starlight hearts.  My own idea.  Great for Valentines day.
Starlight heart mini pops.  My own idea. So cute!

Candy cane hearts, pops, you name it.  You can already find how to do this on the web if you search "how to soften candy canes."

Ancestors card game--My Grandma Maxine made cards with pictures of family members on them.  Each card had a duplicate so that we could play "memory" by placing the cards face down on the table, picking two and hoping for a match.  If you got a match you got to keep the cards and go again.  The person with the most cards at the end was the winner.  This game was a great way to help us grandkids keep track of our ten aunts and uncles and their spouses and children.
Based on this idea, I want to make a card game with pictures of ancestors on them that you lay out in a big family tree.  I have no idea how you could play such a game although in my brief search so far, I found some good insight on Origin Hunters .  I'll keep you posted on any other ideas I come up with on the subject.
I like this idea because it is so meaningful!

Family Tree--Marci
I couldn't find a family tree that I liked, so I made this one.  It's not finished and probably won't ever be done until I (or someone else) really need to have one.  In the meantime, here's what I've got.
The person's name goes on the trunk, and on the leaves, the first name goes over the line of the leaf and the last line goes under it.

Build Your Own Veggie Pizza
Buy a roll of crescent roll dough.  Make circles out of the rolls (I need to work out how to do this).  Cook according to package directions(?)  Cool.  Let guests spread cream cheese mixed with ranch dressing mix onto the crescent crusts.  Have finely chopped veggies and also cheese, mini pepperoni, and olives if you would like, for guests to sprinkle on their pizzas.  Eat.  Yum.  We had this at Cassandra's shower.  It was delicious.  We made the crescent rolls from scratch.  Too time consuming, but cheaper.
